About Doc Jacques

Your Addiction Lifeguard

Why This Matters

Addiction creates turbulence for everyone it touches. Without clarity, people often repeat the same patterns—trying harder, reacting emotionally, or losing hope altogether.

The purpose of this work is to bring clarity and direction to that chaos.

Through the podcast, upcoming book, and ongoing work, the goal remains the same: to help people—both those struggling and those who care about them—move toward stability, understanding, and real recovery.

Meet Doc Jacques

Doc Jacques is a licensed clinician with decades of experience working directly with addiction, recovery, and the people impacted by it. His work spans both individuals struggling with substance use and the families who walk alongside them—often carrying confusion, frustration, and emotional strain of their own.

Through clinical practice, intervention work, and direct experience in recovery, he has developed a practical, no-nonsense approach to understanding addiction and responding to it in a way that actually supports change.

A Different Approach

Whether you are struggling yourself or trying to help someone who is, the goal is the same: clarity, stability, and forward movement.

That means:

• Understanding what addiction is—and what it isn’t
• Learning how to respond instead of react
• Recognizing the patterns that keep people stuck
• Setting boundaries that support recovery instead of enabling chaos
• Taking responsibility where it belongs

This is the foundation of what Doc Jacques refers to as being a “lifeguard”—someone who stays above the chaos, sees clearly, and responds with intention rather than panic.
